Double bass, electric bass, composer
Edwin has been playing professionally since 1989, when he graduated high school. Edwin has since expanded his knowledge of through-composed and improvised music. He has relocated several times to be in an environment that is conducive to learning and stimulates growth. Currently he resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
EDUCATION:
Edwin attended the Wichita State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music with an emphasis in performance specializing in the double bass. He was classically taught by Roger Fratena-Assistant principal double bass of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dr. Mark Foley -Professor of Double bass at Wichita State University, Rolf Erdahl- Interim Professor of double bass at various institutions and Glenn Holmes -bassist/composer.

Wichita Symphony Association- Wichita, Kansas -taught classical scholarship students (middle school and high school) -double bass, 1992-94

As member of the Laughing Calf Jazz Quartet, through a program funded by the National Endowment for the Arts and Yamaha Music Corporation, Edwin taught electric and double bass, jazz small groups, big band, private students and performed for local and regional schools and colleges. The quartet provided and promoted education, awareness, diversity and virtuosity within rural Western Kansas.
He has also taught privately since 1992.

Edwin was a bassist with the Greater Dallas Youth Orchestra in high school and the Wichita Symphony Orchestra from 1990-94. He has also performed on countless demo recordings, unreleased recordings, and smaller projects.
